19% GST on POL to be withdrawnISLAMABAD: The federal government has directed the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to withdraw the notification of 19% GST on petroleum products. According to reports, petroleum dealers and petrol pump owners were receiving 2% extra tax over the 17% general sales tax (GST). While taking notice of the matter Finance Minister Ishaq Dar directed OGRA to immediately withdraw the notification of 19 percent GST. He also directed non-registered dealers to get registered within two weeks. inp
