MQM stages token walkout from Sindh Assembly
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has staged token walkout from Sindh Assembly session against alleged target killings of its workers.
The session of Sindh Assembly was held with the Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani in the chair on Thursday.
The members of the assembly condemned the attack on Quaid e Azam Residency in Ziarat, suicide blast in funeral prayers in Mardan and killings of polio workers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the session, the provincial information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Karachi has been facing bad law and order situation for the last 25 to 30 years, however, the impression was made that the situation of the city got worse during the tenure of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Meanwhile, MQM MPA Muhammad Khalid declared the imposition of tax on marriage halls as burden on the owners.
