Rangers deny raiding Uzair Baloch residence in Lyari
KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Friday denied reports that the paramilitary force had conducted raid at the residence of Uzair Jan Baloch, chief of the banned People’s Aman Committee (PAC).
However, the Rangers said they arrested a key accused in Arshad Pappu murder case, during an operation carried out in Lyari.
The paramilitary force launched raid in Sangolaiin area, arresting Ali Baqir, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police and key accused in the murder case of Arshad Pappu
The Rangers said that three abductees identified as Hasan, Sheryar and Muhammad Umar were also recovered from the custody of the accused.
They said that Muhammad Umar,a son of a retired Lieutenant and resident of Defence, was kidnapped on June 13. The accused had demanded Rs20 million ransom for his release.
