Six of slain climbers yet to be identified: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that identities of four climbers attacked and killed in Gilgit Baltistan have been ascertained while the remaining six are yet to be identified.

Talking to media persons, the Minister said two Chinese, one Nepalese and one US National of Chinese origin have been identified.

He said federal ministers from Pakistan will be traveling along with the bodies of the deceased foreign tourists to their relative countries.

“We have expressed solidarity with the ambassadors of Ukraine and China,” Chaudhry Nisar said, terming the GB incident as shocking and that he condemns it strongly.

He said, on the directives of the Pakistan Prime Minister, the families and heirs of the deceased will be provided all possible cooperation.
