PM Sharif Nawaz chairs meeting on Punjab police reforms

LAHORE: Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif on Saturday presided over a meeting to review law and order situation, reforms in police, 'Thana system' and to eliminate corruption.

The meeting was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab IG, Motorway Police IG, Interior Secretary and Chief Secretary.

Shahbaz Sharif told the meeting that he wanted to see the Punjab police as a force which provides speedy justice.

He said that The Punjab would be made an example by introducing police reforms. The secretaries also gave briefing to the prime minister.

The meeting was told that monitoring system would be improved for corruption free police.
