Necessary to win war against terrorism, corruption: Imran

PESWAHAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan said Monday that it was necessary to win the war against terrorism and corruption.

During a news conference alongside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak, Khan called on the government to formulate a terrorism policy. “Terrorism is taking place in Karachi and the rest of the country and a solution is required.”

Imran Khan held drone attacks responsible for pushing Pakistan into the US-led war on terror. “It is time to detach ourselves from the US-led war,” he stressed.

Imran Khan also announced the formation of an independent accountability cell to tackle corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

When asked about former president, General (retd) Pervez Muharraf, Khan replied that supremacy of law need to be tantamount in the country and the law should be equal for all.
