British PM arrives today
ISLAMABAD: British Prime Minister David Cameron is expected to arrive in the country tomorrow (Saturday).
He will be accorded a warm welcome at the Noor Khan Airbase by senior officials.
During his two-day trip, he will meet President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other senior officials of the Foreign Ministry.
The visiting premier will discuss bilateral relations, the importance the UK attaches to Pakistan and matters of mutual interests, especially regional peace and the Afghanistan situation.
According to sources, Pakistani leaders will brief the visiting PM on initiatives Pakistan has taken for peace and stability in Afghanistan, and the country’s commitment to eliminate terrorism.
Cameron will also plant a sapling at Shakarparian during his visit to Islamabad, and sign the visitors’ book. online
