Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif approves national energy policy
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved the new national energy policy and decided to take all federating units on board.
The prime minister, who presided over a high level meeting today (Friday), was briefed on new power projects of solar energy by Ministry of Water and Power and other stakeholders.
The meeting also discussed various projects of power production from coal. Addressing the meeting, the premier sad that foreign companies had been asked to start work on projects forthwith.
Mr Sharif directed the Ministry of Water and Power to cut line losses as well as expedite the process of recovering outstanding bills from provinces and institutions.
