Bilawal pays rich tribute to Salman Taseer
‘Shaheed Salmaan Taseer has become voice against inhumane incidents’
OnlineKARACHI – Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has paid rich tribute to former Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer on his birthday and stated he would have become the voice against inhumane incidents occurring in the society.
“If Shaheed Salmaan Taseer would have been alive, he would have continued his struggle in giving voice to the poor and down trodden masses of the society,” Bilawal said in a press statement issued here on Sunday. He said that people like Salmaan Taseer were real heroes of Pakistani nation who laid down their lives for the protection of weak segments of the society and did not care about the threats to their life.
The young PPP leader also said that Pakistan and its peoples were indebted to its heroes like Shaheed Salmaan Taseer and they will never forget the sacrifices of the PPP leaders and workers to make this society an egalitarian one where the elements who want to impose their nefarious agenda on gun-point have no room.
