Qadri, Shujaat ‘jobless politicians’: Pervaiz
LAHORE: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday said that some ‘immature’ leaders are attempting to unite Musharraf’s remains to achieve their ‘aimless agenda’.
In an effort to downplay meeting between Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) leader Dr Tahir ul Qadri and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders Chaudhrys Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in London, the minister said that these leaders are ‘politically unemployed’.
The PAT and PML-Q on Saturday agreed on a 10-piont agenda to bring ‘revolutionary reforms’ in the governance system of the country.
“It is a waste of time to comment on Dr Qadri and Chaudhrys meeting. One of them can never enter the parliament while the other cannot become an opposition,” he observed.
The minister said these people are luring Imran Khan into their cage but he is scared of making an entry as he seems only revolving around the cage so far.
“Imran Khan is moving around their cage but he is afraid of entering into it,” he said.
The information minister said that remnants of Musharraf were trying to bring together dear ones of the former military dictator.
To a question, he said that Sheikh Rasheed was a ‘ticketless passenger’, who would be checked by Khawaja Saad Rafique. He said that government would decide on removal of Pervez Musharraf’s name from the ECL only after a ruling by court.
