MQM sit-in until their Quaid’s release continues in urban Sindh

 

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers and supporters’ overnight sit-in continues until the release of their Quaid Altaf Hussain, who remained in the custody of British authorities in a London hospital on Tuesday, Geo News reported.

Thousands of MQM workers and supporters including men, women and children young and old went on a sit-in at the Numaish traffic intersection and staged a protest sit-in vowing to continue until the release of their most revered Quaid.

Meanwhile, the entire city wears a mourning look as most of the shops and business centers, petrol pumps, CNG stations are closed since yesterday, while the traffic on the roads remains thin, as transporters also expressing their solidarity preferred not to bring their vehicles on the roads.

All the academic examinations scheduled for Wednesday in Karachi have been postponed after the law and order situation that emerged following the arrest of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain in London.

All the examinations scheduled for today under Intermediate Technical Board and varsities were postponed.
