Pakistan condemns attacks on border posts
Two Pakistani soldiers martyred as a result of unprovoked firing
ISLAMABAD – Two Pakistani border posts - Manozangal and Moukha tops in Bajaur Agency – were attacked on Wednesday morning by terrorists from across Afghanistan.
The two Pakistani soldiers were martyred and three others, including one officer, were injured as a result of this unprovoked firing. It is the third incident of cross-border attack in the last 10 days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement issued here condemned these unprovoked attacks and said that this matter has been raised with the Afghan government in Kabul and with their Embassy in Islamabad.
The statement said that it has been emphasized that Afghanistan must take concrete steps to stop the use of its territory against Pakistan. For its part, Pakistan remains committed to supporting all efforts for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
