3-member govt. committee for political fire fighting formed
ISLAMABAD: The government on Sunday constituted a three-member committee for an effective liaising and consultations with the political parties over the emanating political situations in the country, Geo News reported.
Federal Minister for planning Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Adviser to prime minister, Irfan Siddiqui are included in the said government liaison committee with political parties, sources said.
Sources further said that this committee has already made a contact with the Leader of the Opposition, Khurshid Shah, while a member of the committee Khawaja Saad Rafique was in touch with Awami National Party (ANP) interim president Haji Adeel.
ANP spokesman Senator Zahid Khan said that the government committee wanted to seek inputs from his party as regards the emanating political situation in the country.
