Army Chief pays accolades to martyrs of Karachi attack
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif paid accolades to the martyrs who laid down their lives fighting terrorists in a brazen late-night attack on the country’s largest airport.
Ten terrorists laced with automatic weapons, grenades, suicide jackets and rocket launchers breached the Karachi Airport on Sunday night, resulting in 12 martyrs including 7 Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel, 1 Ranger, 1 Policeman and one employee each from the Civil Aviation Authority and the Pakistan International Airlines.
Twenty Two others were injured in the attack and ensuing operation. According to sources three are in serious condition.
