Fight against terrorism has reached cities: Nafisa Shah
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) parliamentarian Nafisa Shah said on Saturday that the fight against terrorism had reached cites of the country.
Speaking on the National Assembly floor, Shah said according to a 2012 report approximately 8,000 Taliban were involved in extortion in Karachi.
Shah’s statement came as Karachi witnessed a Taliban attack on its airport last Sunday. The attack at the old terminal resulted in the death of over 30 people while ten terrorists were killed during an operation conducted by security forces.
