MQM starts mourning on MNA’s killing
*Black flag hoisted in all party’s offices, all activities suspended

KARACHI – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the killing of lawmakers MNA Tahira Asif in Lahore and announced to observe three-day mourning from Friday to Sunday.

The decision to this effect was made at an emergent meeting of the Rabita Committee, said a statement issued here. The committee said that all political and organisational activities of the party will remain suspended during the three-day mourning and black flag will also be hoisted in the party offices.

The MQM body has appealed to the masses to remain calm on the tragedy. It urged the traders and transporters to keep their routine businesses activities continue. The Rabita Committee said the party men to organise condolence meetings to express solidarity with the bereaved family.
