Pakistan believes in peace, freedom of trade: president

KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday said Pakistan believes in promoting peace and security in the region, freedom of seas and trade as it vows to pursue a balanced foreign policy based on strengthening economic bonds and fostering good relations with all countries particularly its neighbours.
Pakistan stands committed to international order and stability and is against terrorism in all its manifestations, the President said this while addressing the newly commissioned officers here at Pakistan Naval Academy.
The total 108 officers- 101st Midshipmen Commissioning term and 10th SSC officers’ class- got commissioned at Pakistan Naval Academy PNS Rahbar after completing rigorous training, PN press release said.
President emphasized that the nation pins very high hopes in the new PN officers adding that they will add new dimensions to the traditional concepts of command and leadership.
“You have become a member of a very prestigious organization whose discipline and quality of work are worth emulating. I advise you to uphold those glorious traditions through strength of your personal character, integrity and honour,” he added. Mamnoon said that military leadership qualities are very important in the making of an efficient officer. A true leader leads from the front and sets an example for others. This earns the loyalty of those who follow.
