Don’t provide opportunity to terrorist to strike public, Asif to Qadri
Minister asks Tahir ul Qadri to help internally displaced persons
APPISLAMABAD – Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said on Monday at a time when military operation is going on in North Waziristan tribal agency, no one should provide opportunity to terrorist to strike general public.
In a statement issued here, he said, Tahir ul Qadri should not endanger life of people by staging demonstration on roads. Tahir ul Qadri should realise the general public agony and suffering in this hot weather, he said, adding that it was unfortunate that he (Tahir ul Qadri) has bent upon halting Pakistan's economic progress which is the agenda of Pakistan's enemies.
The minister said that all political parties should work for helping the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and Tahir ul Qadri can also play his role in this regard. Terming most of the demands of Tahir ul Qadri as ridiculous, he said that these demands were aimed to get media attention.
Asif opined that any mature and sensible leader would not jeopardize people's life when the country was at war with terrorists. “If Qadri Sahib does not like democracy then he should start his revolution from the county where he resides,” he concluded.
