KPK opposition moves privilege motion over Imran's statement
PESHAWAR: The opposition and treasury benches members of Khyber Pukhtunkhaw assembly burst into a verbal clash causing pandemonium in the House, as the opposition expressing its serious reservations over Imran Khan’s statement threatening to dissolve the KPK assembly, submitted a privilege motion on Wednesday here, Geo News reported.
Later, the opposition staged a walkout from the assembly strongly protesting the unwarranted statement of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, while Raja Faisal Zaman of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s Nighat Orakzai submitted a privilege motion in the assembly stating that Imran Khan was repeatedly talking about illegally and undemocratically dissolution of the assembly casting aspersion on the people.
Addressing the House, provincial assembly member, Munawwar Khan Advocate enquired from KPK Assembly Speaker, Asad Qaisar, “Is the assembly ‘Jagir’ of Imran Khan”?
Shaukat Yusufzai on behalf of the government wanted give a clarification on the issue, but the opposition shouted him down and didn’t allow him to speak.
