Initial report of Peshawar airport attack prepared
PESHAWAR: The initial report stating the primary findings about the attack on Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport has been prepared, Geo News reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane landed safely after three minutes of firing. The bullets hit the engine no.2 and the same side of the plane.
The report also stated that a woman passenger was killed when she received a bullet in her head and resulted in her demise. The deceased passenger belonged to Ziarat area of District Nowshera.
Two flight stewards were also wounded in the attack who are currently being treated at the Combined Military Hospital in Peshawar Cantonment.
It is pertinent to mention a passenger flight of PIA came under attack while landing at the Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar on Tuesday night.
Sources said the PIA flight from Riyadh (No PK-756) was about to land in Peshawar when unidentified attackers opened fire on the aircraft. The bullets hit a woman and two a stewards.
