PM distributes cheques among legal heirs of ASF martyrs
Govt also announces jobs for family members of Jinnah Airport victims
ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday expressed condolences with the families of the martyred personnel of the Jinnah International Airport of Karachi incident and offered fateha here at the PM House.
He also presented financial support cheques to the families of the martyrs of the Airport Security Force (ASF). Special Assistant on Aviation Shujaat Azeem, Aviation Secretary Muhammad Ali Gardezi and ASF Director General Muhammad Azam were present on the occasion. The prime minister, while acknowledging the sacrifices of the ASF martyrs, said, they laid down their lives saving their motherland and their sacrifices will not go in vain.
“We stand by you in hour of sadness,” he told the bereaved families. "These martyrs safeguarded our national assets with their blood and made the whole nation proud." Condemning the terrorist attacks, he said the security of all airports had already been beefed up and steps were being taken to upgrade the logistic and technical support to further enhance the security to avoid such incidents in future.
The prime minister distributed cheques of Rs 3 million among the legal heirs of the ASF martyrs and announced jobs for them.
