Imran blames ECP for KP LG polls irregularities
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday said that it was the responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to ensure transparency while conducting the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local body elections.
Talking to the media after his appearance before the Judicial Commission (JC) today, Khan went on to say that the ECP had not done its homework, while even police was provided for their assistance.
The ECP, however, rejected his allegations saying that the provincial government must stop putting its own responsibilities on others.

Speaking on the NADRA report regarding NA-122, the PTI chief said that National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq was being saved and that NADRA’s Chairman suddenly flying abroad was something to be questioned.
He said that the JC hearings should be carried out on a daily basis to prevent time and cost consumption.
NADRA’s response
Spokesperson NADRA in response to Imran Khan’s allegations said that the supplementary report was submitted to the tribunal on the request of the lawyers of Khan and Sadiq.
He further said that the PTI chief should avoid ridiculing the national institution as well as its chairman.
