No load shedding during Sehr, Iftar in Ramazan: PM

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting to review power and petroleum supply situation during summer months especially during Ramadan, at the PM House on Wednesday.

The prime minister directed that all out efforts should be made to ensure smooth supply of petroleum products in all parts of Pakistan particularly during the holy month. He also directed the Ministry of Water and Power that during Ramadan load-shedding should not exceed the specified limit of six hours in urban and eight hours in rural areas, with no load-shedding allowed at Sehr and Iftar time.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar; Federal Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi; Water & Power Minister Khawaja Asif; Federal Minister for Information, Senator Pervaiz Rashid; Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi; Privatization Commission Chairman Muhammad Zubair; Secretary Finance Dr. Waqar Masood; Secretary Petroleum Arshad Mirza; Secretary Ports and Shipping Khalid Pervez; Secretary Water and Power Younus Dagha and Pakistan State Oil MD Shahid Saleem attended the meeting along with other senior government officials.
