PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Minister Shah Farman on Monday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will dissolve its government if the federal government takes the lead in resigning over poll rigging allegations.
Talking to newsmen here, Farman urged all the protesting parties to attend all parties conference (APC), saying the provincial government was all ears to their demands.
“KPK government is ready to launch investigation into the rigging of Local Government elections in the province and it is prepared to re-conduct the poll exercise”, Farman said.
He said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Awami National Party (ANP) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) have declared LG elections in the province as unfair but they failed to demand resignation from the Federal government over the alleged rigging of 2013 elections.
“PTI is ready to leave the provincial government if the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) dissolves its government in the centre on the issue of rigging”, Farman offered.
If the protesting parties agree, he said, the PTI is ready to hold the LG polls again in the supervision of judiciary and the Army.
The political parties that decide against attending the APC summoned by the PTI, it would be considered that these parties are satisfied over the conduct of LG elections in the province, he added.
