Army chief, Sri Lankan president discuss regional security activities

COLOMBO - Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif called on Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat here on Monday.
General Sharif and President Sirisena discussed about the cooperation and collaboration between the two countries on issues pertaining to regional security.
They emphasised the importance of working with close cooperation to ensure mutual interests in security activities.
Secretary to the President PB Abeykoon, Secretary of Defence UB Basnayake, and Army Commander Lieutenant General Chrishantha de Silva were among those who participated in the meeting.
