‘Pakistan’s territorial integrity will be protected at all costs’
ISLAMABAD: Taking serious notice of threats hurled by an Indian minister to neighbouring countries including Pakistan, the country’s top military leadership on Wednesday agreed to thwart all Indian efforts to destabilize it.
The decision was taken at the Formation Commanders’ Conference, in which the military leadership of Pakistan vowed to defend the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty at all costs.
The conference was attended by Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers and all Formation Commanders.

“A befitting reply will be given to any offensive against Pakistan,” said a statement issued by the Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR).
The media wing of the Pakistani armed forces further said in the statement that the conference decided to defeat Indian politicians’ intentions, saying nobody will be allowed to cast an 'evil eye' on the country.
The military leadership also expressed annoyance over noncompliance of the United Nations’ charter by Indian politicians.
The statement comes hours after Indian Minister of State for Information Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said India will strike at a place and at a time of their choosing against all countries, including Pakistan, and groups harbouring “terror intent”.
Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has already warned India against mistaking Pakistan for Myanmar in the wake of an Indian military offensive carried out in the South Asian country.

Laying emphasis on continuation of operations till elimination of the last expected and probable terrorists groups and sanctuaries, the Army Chief exhorted commanders to take all measures to prevent escape of trapped terrorists.
“With entire nation standing behind, we will remain focused on achieving the objective of a terror free and peaceful Pakistan,” he said.
Underscoring Pakistan’s multiple and complicated challenges, the COAS expressed his optimism, saying Pakistani nation was the most resilient nation in the world and was already on its way to emerge victorious out of these testing times.
