ATC sends MQM leader Aamir Khan to prison till 25th
KARACHI: MQM leader Aamir Khan was presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi on Friday and was sent to prison on judicial remand till the 25th of June. Khan faces charges of providing shelter to criminals.
During proceedings, Khan’s lawyer pleaded the court, that his client be granted a B-Class prison cell since he is a tax payer and has a Masters degree in political science, following which the court granted Aamir Khan a B-class prison cell.
Others presented before the ATC included Farasat and Kamran; both have confessed to multiple murders and other heinous crimes during their 90-day detention by the Rangers paramilitary force. The two have been handed over to the police on an 8-day remand.
