INP
ISLAMABAD - Threatening statements of Indian leaders will be taken before the United Nations (UN) and all other international forums, Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah said on Friday.
Addressing a press conference here, Khalilullah said the threats of Indian leaders had exposed real face of India before the global community, as it claimed to be a secular state.
He said the issue of the Indian threats and confrontation was also discussed in the ongoing envoys conference in Islamabad, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed the envoys to brief the foreign countries regarding aggressive designs of India. He said the conference also reviewed foreign policy of the country and proposals to make it more effective.
The FO spokesperson said the envoys also discussed in length the proposed China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) besides various projects to be worked out with the cooperation of Central Asian States. He reiterated the resolve to complete the corridor, terming it vital for ensuring speedy and sustainable development of the country.
“Pakistan is a peace-loving country, but will take every step to ensure protection of its interests and integrity. Pakistan knows how to deal with any threat, and has the capacity to respond anyone in a befitting manner,” he said.
