PM orders action against 20 ‘influential’ people
INPKARACHI - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday ordered legal action against as many as “20 influential personalities” after Rangers Director General (DG) Bilal Akbar revealed crucial facts about organised crime in Sindh.
He ordered stern action against culprits in a meeting with Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad. The prime minister was received by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah upon his arrival in Karachi.
The meeting discussed overall law and order situation in the province. Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources Jam Kamal also participated in the meeting along with others.
Nawaz said terrorists behind heinous attacks should be brought to justice in “weeks and not months”.
