MQM workers 'honey bees', not flies: Pervaiz
Minister declares Pakistan is not a kind of country that will succumb to mere threats
INP

LAHORE – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said on Saturday that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers are not flies, they are ‘honey bees’.

He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was only quoting someone else. Talking to journalists after presiding over a meeting of the Iqbal Academy’s Board of Governors, he said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should focus on Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) instead of criticizing others.

“I think Imran should become the chief minister of KP because the people of KP had voted for him and it is his duty to solve their problems”, he added. The minister said that the prime minister has been taking everyone along. “The prime minister didn’t say anything that someone would object to. One thing is clear, MQM workers have become fond of honey”, he said.

Talking about the threatening statements given by Indian government officials and Pakistan’s response, he said that the Modi government has shamed India across the globe. “Pakistan is not a kind of country that would succumb to mere threats”, he cleared. He said that it was Pakistan’s right to raise its voice on international forums regarding the threatening statements made by the Indian leadership.
