Zardari invites political leaders for Iftar on Friday

ISLAMABAD - Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has invited different political leaders on Iftar dinner on Friday.
According to sources, Zardari would discuss the ongoing political situation with political leaderships of different parties, especially in the wake of his diatribe against army. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif excused from holding a meeting with Zardari.
The prime minister had presided over a meeting of federal ministers Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif and Ahsan Iqbal to ponder over the situation after former president Asif Ali Zardari’s diatribe against the military. During the meeting, federal ministers suggested the prime minister to not hold a meeting with the PPP co-chairman under current circumstances.
