President leaves for home after concluding Saudi visit

JEDDAH – President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday left here for Islamabad after visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he held meetings with the leadership and offered Umrah.

Jeddah Governor Prince Mishal bin Majid saw off President at the Royal Terminal of Jeddah Airport. Ambassador Manzoorul Haq, Consul General Aftab Ahmad Khokher and officers of consulate and Royal protocol were present.

Earlier, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif Al Saud hosted Sehri in honor of President Mamnoon Hussain at his palace in Jeddah last night, which was also joined by members of Royal family and the cabinet ministers.

During the meeting with Crown Prince, matters of bilateral interest and the issues concerning Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia came under discussion. In another meeting held in Jeddah, OIC Assistant Secretary-General Ambassador Naeem Khan briefed the president about the OIC summit being held in Pakistan in November this year.

Earlier, in Makkah Al Mukarramah, the president also met a delegation of Pakistani expatriates residing in Makkah Al Mukarramah, Taif and Jeddah. The meeting focused on the matters concerning educational facilities and investment opportunities for Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia.

They appreciated various developmental projects initiated by present government in Pakistan and hoped that initiative of the economic corridor would have far-reaching impact on the life of common man.
