Minus-Altaf MQM formula will trigger war on streets
* MQM chief swears neither he nor his party has any connection with RAW *Urges Rangers DG to take honest decisions * Rangers raid telephone exchange during Altaf’s address
ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Monday warned that there would be a war in every nook and corner of the country if any attempt was made against his removal.
In a telephonic address from London, Altaf Hussain said that a conspiracy was underway about minus-Altaf Hussain formula. “It is being said that MQM is an anti-Pakistani party. If I am removed as MQM chief, there will be war in every nook and corner of the country,” he said. Hussain also called for the removal of quota system from Sindh.
The MQM leader said that all Pakistani provinces were set up on ethnic grounds. Every allegation in the world is levelled against Altaf Hussain, he added. He also swore that neither he nor his party had any connection with Indian intelligence agency RAW. “I swear upon God that neither the MQM nor I have any connection with RAW.”
He added that if RAW makes plans against Pakistan, the MQM would fight alongside the army against Indians. Altaf also urged Rangers Director General Major General Bilal Akbar to take honest decisions and feel the pain of the families those workers who had been killed extra-judicially by law enforcement agencies.
Meanwhile, Rangers encircled a telephone exchange on Monday evening in the Azizabad area of the city. Rangers’ personnel blocked all roads leading to the exchange. The staff members at the exchange were also questioned.
The reason for the raid was not immediately know, but the raid took place at a time when Altaf Hussain was addressing his supporters via telephone from London.
