‘Come see me on Wednesday’
by NNIISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani on Monday postponed the appearance of Senator Nehal Hashmi in his office until Wednesday. According to a statement, Hashmi was under notice to appear before the chairman at 10am on Monday. At 9:45am Hashmi moved an application.
At 10am the matter was taken up and the application was placed before the chairman. The application sought a postponement of today's appearance, for a variety of reasons. Raza Rabbani, keeping in view the spirit of his Ruling dated October 5, 2015, wherein, it is essential to inquire into that the resign is genuine, voluntary and intended to relinquish, relieve or quit the seat and vacate it, postponed the appearance.
