Pakistan's fight against terrorists is precedent for world: Mamnoon
by PPIISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that moderate forces should join hand to eliminate the evils of terrorism and extremism from the world.
He was addressing an Iftar dinner hosted in the honor of ambassadors of different countries last tonight. The president said that Pakistan took a bold step to eliminate terrorists and extremists despite having limited resources.
He said that Pakistan's fight against terrorists is a precedent for the world. The president highlighted Kashmir dispute urged India to cooperate with the United Nations and International Community to resolve this lingering issue.
He said that Kashmiri people must be given their fundamental right to self-determination. He urged the international community to take notice of human rights violations in occupied Kashmir. He also called on India to resume dialogue process to resolve all outstanding issues with Pakistan including Kashmir.
Mamnoon said that religious teachings provide a good road map to discourage the menace of terrorism and extremism.
