Karakoram highway’s biggest bridge under threat


GILGIT: Water level of the lake, which developed due to an avalanche that hit Attaabad village, Hunza on January 4, has increased to an alarming level due to which the biggest bridge ‘Shushkat’ on Karakoram highway is submerged.

The lake has spread to an area of 16 km. Water level has reached the height of 170 feet. Gojal village is disconnected from other parts of the country due to submergence of the bridge.
