US suspects case adjourned till Mar 10
SARGODHA: Pakistani police Tuesday presented a list of charges against five Americans held on suspicion of plotting attacks and trying to contact Al-Qaeda-linked militants, their lawyer said.
The five US citizens were arrested in the eastern city of Sargodha in December and despite appearing in an anti-terrorism court for successive remand hearings, have yet to be charged.
"The list of charges was presented in the court today and the case will now be heard again on March 10," lawyer Hassan Katchela told reporters after the hearing in Sargodha.
"We will now study the charges --- the court will also study the charges and the case will be heard further if the court finds a reason for trial," he said.
Asked what the charges were, Katchela said he would study the document and "will then be able to see what were the charges".
