Also, the SC directed the government to submit a detailed report on individual and collective petitions regarding the missing persons.

A SC bench headed by Justice Javed Iqbal heard the missing persons case.

Justice Javed said the court will deliver the verdict on the case during the current month, saying that after this, the last hearing of the case would be held.

He also directed the federal secretaries of Interior, Foreign and Defence to come to the court on the day.

The government presented to the SC the list of at least 6000 Pakistanis jailed in 11 countries.

When the list of 6000 missing persons were presented to the court, Justice Javed queried as to why 120 Pakistanis jailed in Thailand have not been included in the list.

Deputy Attorney General told the court that Prime Minster is going to constitute a commission in this connection and the matter is in the works.

The court directed the joint investigation team to submit within two weeks the report on Masud Janjua, Faisal Faraz, Saeedur Rehman, Ateequr Rehman, Muhammed Ata and Muhammed Altaf among the missing persons.

The team chief SP Kamran Adil told the court that the investigation process is advancing with complete support from the military.

Justice Javed inquired as to why is the number of the missing persons on the rise despite the government efforts.

Justice Sair Ali said in his remarks that a person could be premised to be occupied in invisible hands where even the government does not know where its citizen is.

The court also elicited the information from Foreign Office’s DG Afghan Desk regarding Pakistanis detained in Bagram Jail.
