Corrupt people will meet their fate, says Nawaz
LAHORE: Corrupt people in the country will ultimately meet their fate, a private TV channel quoted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif as saying on Monday. Addressing a public gathering in the NA-123 constituency, Nawaz called for returning to the people what he called their looted wealth. He regretted the fact that in Pakistani history whenever the country started moving towards development, a military general took over. He said implementation of the Charter of Democracy is part of the Pakistan People’s Party’s manifesto. “I entered into agreements with President Asif Ali Zardari with a clear conscience. I was confident the CoD will be implemented,” he regretted, adding, it is the betrayals that led Pakistan to the crises. “The generals betrayed their profession and the army in the past,” Nawaz pointed out, warning that those who deceive voters in their own constituencies do not feel remorse in betraying the country. daily times monitor
