Riaz seeks jobs quota under agreed formula

LAHORE: Punjab senior minister Raja Riaz on Wednesday warned that coalition government would not last if the PPP were not given its due share of jobs quota according to the agreed formula.

Speaking to Geo correspondent, the senior minister said that under the agreed formula, the PML-N and PPP were to have 60 percent and 40 percent jobs quota respectively.

However, he said that the formula was not yet implemented.

He said that PPP would regularly call the assembly session to raise public issues if it sat on the opposition benches.

Riaz further demanded that PML-N should announce its support for PPP candidate in PP-284 as Prime Minister Gilani assured Shahbaz Sharif to back N-league candidate in PP-111.
