Homeopaths advised against writing ‘doctor’
ISLAMABAD: National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Health said the homeopaths are not allowed to write ‘doctor’ with their names, Geo News reported Saturday.
The standing committee advised the Health Ministry to issue a circular in this connection.
The standing committee held its meeting with Dr Nadeem Ihsaan in the chair.
The committee member and the Parliamentary Secretary Dr Mehreen Raza Bhutto said if tabeeb and hakeem do not write ‘doctor’ with their names, so why the homeopath does it.
The committee gave a consensus verdict in this connection that homeopaths are advised to write only ‘homeopath’ not the word ‘doctor’.
