Pakistan wants friendly ties with India, says Qureshi

LAHORE: Pakistan wants friendly relations with all its neighbouring countries especially India, a private TV channel quoted Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi as saying on Sunday. The foreign minister said all outstanding issues between Pakistan and India could only be resolved through composite dialogue. He said actions speak louder than words and peace could not be established only on Pakistan’s desire. He called upon the Indian government to change its foreign policy towards Pakistan. Qureshi said bilateral relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have improved since a joint treaty was signed in January 2009. The foreign minister said Pakistan had sheltered over three million Afghan refugees to express solidarity and unity
with Afghanistan.
