Foreign hands involved in terror activities: Malik
ISLAMABAD: Foreign elements are involved in terrorist activities in the country, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Monday. Talking to the media after his hearing of the Steel Mills case at the Supreme Court, he said Monday’s suicide bombing at the office of the Special Intelligence Agency in Lahore was carried out by remnants of the Taliban who were working as mercenaries in Pakistan. “Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been involved in all terror attacks in the country... they are hired killers and want to destabilise Pakistan,” he said. He said, however these cowardly terror attacks could not dampen the spirits and resilience of Pakistanis. Malik claimed that the weapons being used by the terrorists were coming from Afghanistan, which include Indian-made weapons. He invited India for peace talks to show its sincerity to the peace process. staff report
