Swiss cases: SC dissatisfied over NAB report
ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has expressed dissatisfaction over National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) report regarding reopening of President Asif Ali Zardari’s Swiss cases on Friday, Geo news reported.
Justice Javed Iqbal, in his remarks, said only SC deserves rights to interpret the Constitution.
A three-member bench of Supreme Court held hearing of reference concerning with Attorney General’s response to NAB about reopening of cases while acting Chairman NAB Irfan Nadeem also witnessed hearing.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the report presented by NAB, SC has sought a report in regard to NAB’s data reportedly went missing during tenure of former President Musharraf.
In his remarks, Justice Tariq Pervez said that the court is not interested in individuals and asked NAB to recover missing record.
While expressing dissatisfaction over prosecutors’ performance the court sought report regarding their appointment and adjourned hearing for two weeks.
