Clinton voices solidarity with Pakistan
WASHINGTON: While condemning Friday’s string of bombings in Lahore, United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offered deepest sympathy over the loss of lives and voiced the Obama’s administration’s solidarity with the Pakistanis in their aspirations for peace and security. “The US extends its deepest sympathy to the victims of Friday’s bombings in Lahore, and to the families and friends of those killed and injured. There is no justification for killing innocent people,” she said. “The coordinated multiple attacks in Lahore demonstrate the suffering that violent extremist elements are willing to inflict on the people of Pakistan – people who only wish to go about their daily lives in peace,” she added. agencies
