Pakistan to reopen embassy in Iraq soon
Staff Report
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is planning to reopen its embassy in Iraq, which was closed down after the US invasion in 2003, and the resulting chaos in the country.
Diplomatic sources said that the government had decided in principle to start full diplomatic activities in Baghdad, as the security situation there has improved in the recent months.
Sources said that the authorities are considering various candidates for the appointment of ambassador, after the opening of the embassy.
