President reviews progress on terrorism-related cases
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Monday chaired a high level meeting to review the progress made in investigation, prosecution and trial of those involved in acts of terrorism in NWFP, particularly in Swat and Malakand.The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Governor NWFP Owais Ahmed Ghani, Chief Minister NWFP Amir Haider Hoti, Interior Minister Rehman A. Malik, Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Babar Awan, Advisor to Prime Minister Sardar Latif Khosa, Chief Secretary NWFP Javed Iqbal besides senior federal and provincial government officials.
Additional Chief Secretary Frontier Fayyaz Ahmed Toro gave a detailed presentation on progress made so far in investigation, prosecution and trial of the detainees.
