Karachi hit by summer’s worst load shedding
KARACHI: At least fifteen gird stations have gone shut as the extra high-tension electricity wire had gone tripped, leaving electricity supply suspended to many parts of metropolis from Nuclear Power House and IPP Tapal, Geo news reported Wednesday morning.
According to sources, the worst hit areas include Baldia, Site, Haroonabad, Orangi, Walika, North Karachi, Azizabad, Maripur, Liaquatabad, Hub, Wandar, Othal and Bela areas.
According to spokesman KESC, the repair work is underway, hoping for restoration of electricity supply soon but declined to set any timeframe.
