Adjournment motion against curb on Geo Super
ISLAMABAD: Muslim League- N has submitted an adjournment motion in the national assembly against holding back Geo Super televising via cables the most crucial Pakistan cricket match in the World Cup today.ML-N national assembly members Rana Mahmoodul Hassan, Nisar Tanveer, Waseem Akhtar Shaikh, Shirin Arshad, Raja Asad and others under their signatures have submitted the adjournment motion in the assembly secretariat.
The motion submitted said, “The attack on the media is highly deplorable. Geo Super had taken the exclusive rights of televising the World Cup and the higher courts have already issued orders relating to this effect.”
PEMRA in different ways harassing Geo in the context of televising World Cup live and because of this the viewers would remain deprived of witnessing the Pakistan-Australia match, said the motion.
