Punjab police ad appears with Indian logo

LAHORE: Punjab Police was criticised by the media when its advertisement carrying a logo of Indian Punjab Police appeared in the national newspapers, urging people to extend their cooperation with the police department to counter terrorism, a private TV channel reported on Friday.

Punjab Police Inspector General Tariq Saleem Dogar blamed the printing company for the fault, saying the department had sent an accurate advertisement with the correct logo. It is worth mentioning, that the logo of the Punjab Police contains a star while the Indian logo consists of the picture of a ‘Trimurti’.
